Regional Airline Pilot Jobs 2026: SkyWest, Envoy, Republic, PSA and the Flow to a Major
Our jobs board tracks 7 US regional airlines, Endeavor Air, Envoy Air, Horizon Air, Piedmont Airlines, PSA Airlines, Republic Airways and SkyWest Airlines. At the last check 7 of them had the First Officer seat open. The published First Officer entries climb from 750 hours at Envoy Air, 750 at SkyWest Airlines, 1,000 at Republic Airways and 1,500 at Piedmont Airlines; the figures below 1,500 are the restricted ATP’s, for military pilots and aviation graduates. Six of the 7 publish a First Officer entry that needs no type rating, and six a route to a mainline airline, from a contractual flow to a guaranteed interview. This page lists each one with its bases, fleet, seats and minimum, then the hours ladder, applying before you have the hours, the flows to Delta, American, Alaska and United, the school routes, and the traps in a regional vacancy: the restricted ATP’s limits, who pays the ATP-CTP course, bonuses without a date and the upgrade. How to get the certificates themselves is on the how to become an airline pilot in the USA page.
Always confirm on the airline’s own careers page before applying. Every figure here is what the airline published at the date shown against it on our jobs board; entries marked Unconfirmed are ones whose requirements we found but whose current vacancy status we could not establish from the airline’s own pages. Vacancies open and close without notice.
The US regional airlines (7)
Every US regional airline on our board, by its status at the last check: 7 recruiting for at least one seat. The hours are each record’s summary of the published minimum, in the airline’s own measure; the last column is the mainline airline that its route to a major, below, leads to.

Who is hiring, seat by seat
First Officer seat open at the last check: Endeavor Air, Envoy Air, Horizon Air, Piedmont Airlines, PSA Airlines, Republic Airways and SkyWest Airlines. Captain seat open: none of them. Each airline as its record sums it up, with the date of the check:
- Endeavor Air F/O: Recruiting Capt: Unconfirmed
At the last check, on 24 October 2026, Endeavor’s pilot careers page invited applications, its pilot FAQ said the Propel application is always open and that Endeavor interviews candidates within six months of their ATP minimum hours, and its Experienced First Officer page advertised sign-on and retention bonuses. The pages are undated, and we found no dated First Officer or Captain posting; Endeavor’s careers page does not mention Direct Entry Captains, which an undated notice on the AirlineApps site advertises. (checked 24 October 2026) — careers page - Envoy Air F/O: Recruiting Capt: Unconfirmed
At the last check, on 20 October 2026, Envoy’s pilot pages invited First Officer applications and offered new First Officers a 50% Pilot Supply premium and Captain’s pay at 750 Part 121 hours through 31 December 2026, and its pilot portfolio of June 2026 set out pay rates effective until 10 June 2027. Envoy’s live careers pages refused our download, so we read its pilot portfolio directly and its pilot pages in their latest archived copies (June 2026), and could not see its current vacancy list. (checked 20 October 2026) — careers page - Horizon Air F/O: Recruiting Capt: Unconfirmed
At the last check, on 25 October 2026, Horizon’s pilot page, as search results showed it, said Horizon was hiring Experienced First Officers, with postings for its bases in the results, and Alaska Air Group’s careers site, downloaded on 24 October, said Horizon had open pilot jobs. We could not open a posting: the copies we could date are from 2026, one of them with an apply-by date of 1 October 2026, so confirm on the careers site before you apply. (checked 25 October 2026) — careers page - Piedmont Airlines F/O: Recruiting Capt: Unconfirmed
At the last check, on 24 October 2026, Piedmont’s First Officer page set out its minimum qualifications with a wage scale dated 29 June 2026, and its pilot page listed First Officer, High Time First Officer and cadet openings; it listed no Direct Entry Captain opening, and the Captain postings found elsewhere were job boards’ copies with 2023 and 2024 pay scales, one marked closed. (checked 24 October 2026) — careers page - PSA Airlines F/O: Recruiting Capt: Unconfirmed
At the last check, on 24 October 2026, PSA’s pilot careers pages, as search results showed them, invited First Officer applications, and a PSA newsroom article gave 2026 First Officer pay from USD 102 an hour with a 75-hour monthly guarantee; we found no dated First Officer posting. InsideFlyer reported that PSA had told its cadets in late July 2026 that they must now pay for the ATP-CTP course PSA used to fund, and Destination.com reported the same change; PSA’s own cadet pages, as search results showed them, still describe the old terms. (checked 24 October 2026) — careers page - Republic Airways F/O: Recruiting Capt: Not recruiting
At the last check, on 20 October 2026, Republic’s job site had two pilot postings open to applications: Commercial Airline Pilot – First Officer (JR-005024, Carmel, Indiana, full time, posted 21 September 2026) and RJet Cadet (JR-004825, posted 7 October 2026), with no closing date shown, and no Captain posting. Republic merged with Mesa on 25 November 2025 and expected, on 30 July 2026, the integration of the two airlines, toward a single operating certificate, to take 18 to 24 more months. (checked 20 October 2026) — careers page - SkyWest Airlines F/O: Recruiting Capt: Unconfirmed
At the last check, on 15 October 2026, SkyWest’s job board showed its First Officer posting open for 21 crew domiciles, dated 1 July 2026 and listed until 1 January 2027, beside its Pilot Pathway Program posting. SkyWest’s pilot pages set out the Pathway, the Rotor Transition Program and a Direct Entry Captain route, but its job board showed no Direct Entry Captain vacancy. (checked 15 October 2026) — careers page
For Captains from outside: SkyWest publishes a Direct Entry Captain page, but its job board showed no such vacancy, and its current terms are among the points we could not confirm (checked 15 October 2026); Envoy publishes a page for the route that we could not open (checked 20 October 2026); Republic’s job site had no Captain posting (checked 20 October 2026); whether PSA’s undated Direct Entry Captain route is open is among the points we could not confirm (checked 24 October 2026); so is whether Piedmont is recruiting Direct Entry Captains, whose pilot page listed no such opening (checked 24 October 2026); and whether Endeavor’s, advertised only in an undated notice on the AirlineApps site, is open (checked 24 October 2026); Horizon’s careers pages showed none (checked 25 October 2026). Every airline that takes Captains from outside is on the direct entry Captain jobs page.
The hours ladder
A US airline First Officer needs an airline transport pilot (ATP) certificate and a type rating for the aircraft (14 CFR 121.436(b)), so the hours a regional asks for are the FAA’s. The full ATP needs 1,500 hours of total time as a pilot, with 500 cross-country, 100 at night, 50 in the class of airplane, 75 of instrument time and 250 in an airplane as pilot in command, or as second in command performing the duties of pilot in command under supervision (14 CFR 61.159(a)), and an age of 23 (61.153). The restricted ATP of 14 CFR 61.160 lowers the total to 750 hours for a US military pilot who graduated from military undergraduate pilot training and holds a DD-214 honorable discharge or a record of current service, 1,000 for a graduate of an aviation bachelor’s degree at an institution the FAA authorizes, with 60 semester credit hours of aviation coursework, and 1,250 with an aviation associate degree and 30 such credit hours, or a bachelor’s with 30 to 59, each with the commercial certificate and instrument rating trained for on an approved Part 141 course at the institution or at a school with a training agreement with it. Every tier keeps the rest of 61.159’s experience, except that 200 hours of cross-country time are enough, and the certificate can be held from the age of 21 (14 CFR 61.153 and 61.160, read on 17 October 2026). The restricted ATP explained page sets out each tier.
Each airline’s lowest published First Officer entry for a pilot without a type rating, lowest first, in the airline’s own measure of hours:
- 750 hours at Envoy Air, for military flight training graduates, 1,000 with 60 aviation credit hours, 1,250 with a qualifying aviation degree program and 30, and 1,500 otherwise, with 50 hours of multi-engine fixed-wing time (which may be reduced to 25), 250 in command of fixed-wing aircraft and the ATP written passed (checked 20 October 2026)
- 750 hours at SkyWest Airlines, for US military pilots with a DD-214 honorable discharge or a record of current service, on the restricted ATP; 1,000 with an aviation bachelor’s degree and 60 credit hours of aviation coursework, 1,250 with an associate degree and 30, and 1,500 with the full ATP, from the age of 23; you may apply within three months of the minimum that applies to you (checked 15 October 2026)
- 1,000 hours at Republic Airways, the restricted ATP’s figure with a qualifying aviation degree, the lowest its posting supports, since whether Republic hires military pilots at 750 is among the points we could not confirm; its posting adds interview and hiring minimums of Republic’s own that it does not state (checked 20 October 2026)
- 1,500 hours at Piedmont Airlines, total, with 50 multi-engine and 250 in command, or the restricted-ATP minimums, for which its First Officer page prints no figure (checked 24 October 2026)
Endeavor Air, Horizon Air and PSA Airlines have no figure we could count: Endeavor Air names only the ATP minimums, and interviews you within six months of them; a job board’s copy of its CRJ First Officer listing, as search results showed it, gave 1,500 hours with 250 in command and 25 multi-engine, and which minimum Endeavor applies now is among the points we could not confirm (checked 24 October 2026); Horizon Air asked, in its Experienced First Officer postings as search results showed them, for 1,465 hours or the restricted ATP, with 200 hours of the prior qualifying time of 14 CFR 121.436(a)(3), while its pilot page gave 1,500; which figure applies is among the points we could not confirm (checked 25 October 2026); PSA Airlines prints no figure, only “the necessary flight hours” of the ATP or the restricted ATP, on its pilot page as search results showed it (checked 24 October 2026).
Every published minimum, low or high, is on the hours requirements page, and the airlines that take First Officers at 500 hours or less on the low-hour pilot jobs page.
Applying before you have the hours
Several regionals interview you, or make an offer, before you reach the minimums: SkyWest takes applications within three months of the minimum that applies to you, though you must meet the ATP’s experience, or the restricted ATP’s, before you are employed (checked 15 October 2026); Endeavor interviews candidates within six months of their ATP minimum hours and keeps an earlier application on file, and Delta’s Propel, which Endeavor shares, takes flight instructors within 12 months of their minimums (checked 24 October 2026); Republic can hire a candidate who interviews with its own interview minimums once they reach its hiring minimums, within six months of the interview, though its posting states neither (checked 20 October 2026); Republic’s RJet Cadet program gives a conditional offer as early as your instrument rating or commercial certificate, to pilots within 700 hours or six months of the restricted ATP’s 1,000 or 1,250, or within 1,000 hours or six months of the ATP’s 1,500, with interviews year-round (checked 20 October 2026); Piedmont’s cadets apply at 400 hours with a commercial multi-engine certificate and instrument rating, are admitted at 500 and build their time anywhere, at least 60 hours a month, with USD 4,500 toward it (checked 24 October 2026); Envoy’s Cadet Program takes students at its partner schools and flight instructors, and at the minimums pays the ATP-CTP course and places the cadet in the next new-hire class with no further interview (checked 20 October 2026). An offer made before the hours is conditional: you are hired, and paid, only once you hold the experience.
The flow to a major
The route each regional publishes to a mainline airline, from its own record:
- Endeavor Air To Delta
Endeavor’s Career Advancement Program is a contractual flow to Delta, with no testing or interview, after 24 months of active service in the left seat at Endeavor, and its Propel recruits get a conditional job offer from Endeavor and a qualified job offer from Delta (checked 24 October 2026). - Envoy Air To American
Envoy’s pilots flow through to American by seniority, with no additional interview (checked 20 October 2026). - Horizon Air To Alaska
Horizon pilots on Alaska’s Pathways List become eligible for an Alaska class date after 1,000 hours as pilot in command at Horizon, in Horizon seniority order, with the Horizon and Alaska interviews on the same day (checked 25 October 2026). - Piedmont Airlines To American
Piedmont describes a contractual flow to American, which its FAQ estimates at five years, and a Captain who has not flowed by then is paid at the top of the scale until the flow (checked 24 October 2026). - PSA Airlines To American
PSA describes a guaranteed flow to American, whose terms, its timing and any interview, are among the points we could not confirm (checked 24 October 2026). - Republic Airways To Delta or United
Republic’s undated Pilot Career Path page describes Delta Ready, a guaranteed interview for qualified First Officers and a move to Delta after 24 months in the left seat at Republic, and United Ready, structured very similarly toward United; whether both still run on those terms is among the points we could not confirm (checked 20 October 2026).
SkyWest Airlines names no flow to a mainline in our board’s record; SkyWest also flies E175s for Alaska, by Alaska’s record (checked 13 October 2026).
From the mainline side: American’s own record names a flow-through from its wholly owned regionals Envoy, Piedmont and PSA (checked 14 October 2026); Alaska’s record gives a second Pathways threshold, 1,000 hours of E175 command with 2,000 in total at Horizon, and which one applies today is among the points we could not confirm (checked 13 October 2026).
A flow is not a date. A contractual flow moves you by seniority, often years after you join; a guaranteed interview is still an interview; and a pathway may set its own hours, such as hours in command at the regional. Ask how long the current wait is, and whether you keep your place if you leave, before you choose a regional for its flow. The ranks, seniority and scheduling article explains how seniority decides bases, schedules and upgrades.
Cadet and school routes
All 7 regionals here name a cadet, academy or pathway route, from ab-initio training to a place in a new-hire class; some lead to a conditional offer, others only to an interview. The routes, worded as recorded:
- Endeavor Air Intake: Not stated
Delta Propel Career Path — Endeavor and Delta’s shared recruiting: the Collegiate & CFI path (flight instructors from AABI-accredited US flight programs or Propel affiliate flight schools, within 12 months of the R-ATP or ATP minimums), the Company path for Delta employees and the Scholarship path for nominees of Delta’s affiliate organizations; one interview, a Conditional Job Offer with Endeavor and a Qualified Job Offer with Delta (checked 24 October 2026) - Envoy Air Intake: Not stated
Envoy Cadet Program — students at partner schools (private certificate) and Cadet Instructors (CFI with instrument rating); at the minimums Envoy pays the ATP-CTP course and places the cadet in the next new-hire class with no further interview · American Airlines Cadet Academy — ab-initio through a partner school to a cadet place at Envoy, Piedmont or PSA (American) (checked 20 October 2026) - Horizon Air Intake: Not stated
Pilot Development Program — for student pilots with at least a private pilot license and a First Class medical: a USD 12,500 stipend in two parts, a line pilot mentor, evaluation for a conditional job offer after the Commercial certificate and a year in the program, and a Horizon First Officer seat at the ATP minimums (Horizon’s program page, 25 October 2026) · Pilot Pathways Program — from Horizon to Alaska (and Hawaiian, on Alaska Air Group’s pilot jobs page): after a Pathways interview, eligibility for an Alaska class date after 1,000 h as pilot in command at Horizon, with class dates in Horizon seniority order (Alaska’s Pathways page, 25 October 2026) (checked 25 October 2026) - Piedmont Airlines Intake: Not stated
Piedmont Cadet Program — apply at 400 h with a commercial multi-engine certificate and instrument rating, admitted at 500 h; build hours anywhere, at least 60 a month, with USD 4,500 to help build them; at the ATP minimums Piedmont pays the ATP-CTP course and the ATP written, then the next available new-hire class with no additional interview · American Airlines Cadet Academy — ab-initio at a partner school, then a cadet place at Envoy, Piedmont or PSA (American’s Cadet Academy pages) (checked 24 October 2026) - PSA Airlines Intake: Not stated
PSA Cadet Program — partner colleges, universities and flight schools (13 at launch); PSA’s pages say it pays the ATP-CTP at the ATP or R-ATP minimums, but InsideFlyer reported that PSA told its cadets in late July 2026 that they must now pay it, and Destination.com reported the same change (checked 24 October 2026) - Republic Airways Intake: Open at last check
RJet Cadet program (posting JR-004825, posted 7 October 2026): a conditional offer of employment as early as your instrument rating or commercial certificate, for pilots within 700 hours or six months of the R-ATP’s 1,000 or 1,250 h, or within 1,000 hours or six months of the ATP’s 1,500 h; interviews year-round (Republic’s job site, read 20 October 2026) · LIFT Academy — Republic’s own flight school, in Indianapolis and, since 2023, Myrtle Beach, with LIFT Academy job openings in Galveston, Texas, and Tuskegee, Alabama, on Republic’s job site (20 October 2026): initial training in as little as 18 months, then instructing at LIFT with a guaranteed First Officer interview at 1,500 h, flying for Cape Air, or a college partnership (checked 20 October 2026) - SkyWest Airlines Intake: Not stated
Pilot Pathway Program — 3 elite and 15 standard partner flight schools and universities: a guaranteed First Officer interview during hiring periods · Rotor Transition Program — for helicopter and powered-lift pilots, through the Pathway application (checked 15 October 2026)
Who pays, and what each scheme leads to, is compared on the cadet programs page.
How to read a regional airline vacancy
- Who pays the ATP-CTP. The ATP written test can be taken only after the ATP Certification Training Program, a course of its own, as our ATP written test guide explains: Envoy wants the ATP written passed when you apply, and pays the course for its cadets at the minimums (checked 20 October 2026); SkyWest provides an approved course to applicants who pass its pilot interview (checked 15 October 2026); Endeavor can provide a company-paid course with its training partner, hotel and transport included, to well-qualified candidates (checked 24 October 2026); Horizon’s First Officer training includes an in-house course, with all expenses covered (checked 25 October 2026); Piedmont pays it, and the ATP written, for its cadets, and whether it does for direct-entry First Officers is among the points we could not confirm (checked 24 October 2026); PSA’s pages say it pays its cadets’ course at the minimums, but InsideFlyer reported that PSA told its cadets in late July 2026 that they must now pay it, and who pays is among the points we could not confirm (checked 24 October 2026).
- The restricted ATP has limits. It is marked “Restricted in accordance with 14 CFR 61.167”, and a Part 121 Captain needs an ATP without that limitation, a type rating and 1,000 hours as second in command in Part 121 operations, or as pilot in command in certain operations under Parts 91 and 135, or a combination of them (14 CFR 61.160(g) and 121.436(a)). So if you are hired on 750, 1,000 or 1,250 hours, you upgrade only once you meet the full ATP’s experience and age, and the airline’s own upgrade minimums: Piedmont’s First Officers bid for Captain after 2,500 hours in total and 1,000 Part 121 hours, about 18 months at the current pace (checked 24 October 2026); Endeavor’s FAQ projects upgrades at less than 36 months (checked 24 October 2026).
- Pay and bonuses carry a date, or should. Envoy offered new First Officers a 50% Pilot Supply premium and Captain’s pay at 750 Part 121 hours through 31 December 2026, and whether that is extended is among the points we could not confirm (checked 20 October 2026); Piedmont’s First Officer wage scale, dated 29 June 2026, starts at USD 102.00 an hour (checked 24 October 2026); a PSA newsroom article, as search results showed it, gave 2026 First Officer pay from USD 102 an hour (checked 24 October 2026); Horizon’s compensation page gives First Officers USD 92.72 an hour in the first year (checked 25 October 2026); Endeavor’s Experienced First Officer page advertises a sign-on bonus of USD 20,000 to 40,000 by qualifying Part 121 experience, but none of its pages is dated, and whether the bonuses are current is among the points we could not confirm (checked 24 October 2026); Republic’s First Officer pay is among the points we could not confirm: its pages have given different hourly rates in different versions (checked 20 October 2026). Read the date on a pay table or a bonus before you compare two airlines on it.
- The right to work is yours to bring. None of the 7 airlines here says it sponsors a visa; 5 ask for a nationality, a residence or a right to work you already hold, and Endeavor Air and PSA Airlines’ records give no single rule. Piedmont’s FAQ says it does not currently sponsor work visas and that candidates must be US citizens or permanent residents (checked 24 October 2026); Delta’s Propel, through which Endeavor recruits, asks for the legal right to work in the US without sponsorship, now or in the future (checked 24 October 2026); SkyWest asks for US citizenship or proof of the right to work in the US, and a passport or travel document that lets you leave and re-enter the country (checked 15 October 2026); Envoy that you can work in the US and travel to every city and country it serves (checked 20 October 2026); Republic for authorization to work in the US and a valid US or foreign passport (checked 20 October 2026); Horizon’s pilot page for authorization to work in the US and a passport allowing unrestricted travel to and from it (checked 25 October 2026). The airlines that do sponsor are on the visa sponsorship page, and an FAA certificate held by a foreign pilot does not give the right to work in the US.
- The base is not yours to choose. SkyWest assigns your domicile after training and says most new hires start on reserve (checked 15 October 2026); Envoy asks that you are able to relocate (checked 20 October 2026); Endeavor keeps its pilot seniority by base (checked 24 October 2026); Piedmont’s pilots bid for their crew base by vacancy and seniority (checked 24 October 2026); Horizon’s Medford crew base was to close in the second quarter of 2026, as Hoodline reported in March 2026, though Horizon’s pilot page still listed it (checked 25 October 2026). Ask where new hires are going now, and what commuting to it would cost you, before you accept.
- The type rating comes with the job. 6 of the 7 publish a First Officer entry that needs no type rating to apply, and Horizon Air publishes no clear rule. The airline puts the rating in its new-hire training, so ask what you owe if you leave soon after it. The airlines that train you on type worldwide are on the non-type-rated First Officer jobs page.
In Canada: Jazz
The Canadian regional on this page, Jazz Aviation (Air Canada Express) Recruiting, flies on Transport Canada licenses rather than the FAA’s, so none of the hours rules above applies to it. Jazz takes First Officers from 500 hours with a Transport Canada commercial license and a Group 1 instrument rating, and graduates of its affiliated schools from 250 on its Jazz Direct route; it asks for Canadian citizenship or permanent residence (checked 24 October 2026). Jazz, which flies as Air Canada Express, calls itself Air Canada’s preferential source of pilots through its flow program, and how the flow works today is among the points we could not confirm (checked 24 October 2026). Its full record, beside the other Canadian airlines, is on the pilot jobs in Canada page.
For the selection, Envoy’s interview day, in the latest copy of its interview tips we could read (2024), is a company briefing, an HR evaluation and a technical evaluation, with a simulator evaluation at its discretion (checked 20 October 2026); Republic’s technical interview, as its RJet Cadet posting describes it, has you read a METAR and a TAF and brief an approach from a Jeppesen chart (checked 20 October 2026); Endeavor’s is an in-person interview at its Minneapolis headquarters with a joint Endeavor and Delta team (checked 24 October 2026). Prepare with the US airline interview set on the FAA side of v1prep, the complete interview guide, and the Library’s airline pilot recruitment and selection and E-Jet family and flight deck articles.
Common questions
Which regional airlines are hiring pilots? At the last check the First Officer seat was open at Endeavor Air, Envoy Air, Horizon Air, Piedmont Airlines, PSA Airlines, Republic Airways and SkyWest Airlines and the Captain seat at none of them. The tables on this page give the date each airline was checked. Confirm the vacancy on the airline’s own careers site before applying.
How many hours do I need to fly for a regional airline? The FAA’s ATP minimums: 1,500 hours of total time for the full ATP (14 CFR 61.159), or, for the restricted ATP, 750 for US military pilots, 1,000 with an FAA-authorized aviation bachelor’s degree and 1,250 with an aviation associate degree, or a bachelor’s with 30 to 59 aviation credit hours (14 CFR 61.160). Each airline’s summary, in its own measure: Endeavor Air: ATP minimums · interview 6 months early (checked 24 October 2026); Envoy Air: 1,500 h · R-ATP 750–1,250 h (checked 20 October 2026); Horizon Air: 1,465 h or R-ATP · 200 h PQT (checked 25 October 2026); Piedmont Airlines: 1,500 h · R-ATP accepted (checked 24 October 2026); PSA Airlines: ATP / R-ATP minimums (checked 24 October 2026); Republic Airways: ATP or R-ATP minimums (checked 20 October 2026); SkyWest Airlines: 1,500 h · R-ATP 750–1,250 h (checked 15 October 2026).
How does the flow from a regional airline to a major work? Endeavor’s Career Advancement Program is a contractual flow to Delta, with no testing or interview, after 24 months of active service in the left seat at Endeavor, and its Propel recruits get a conditional job offer from Endeavor and a qualified job offer from Delta; Envoy’s pilots flow through to American by seniority, with no additional interview; Horizon pilots on Alaska’s Pathways List become eligible for an Alaska class date after 1,000 hours as pilot in command at Horizon, in Horizon seniority order, with the Horizon and Alaska interviews on the same day; Piedmont describes a contractual flow to American, which its FAQ estimates at five years, and a Captain who has not flowed by then is paid at the top of the scale until the flow. A contractual flow moves you by seniority, so ask how long the current wait is.
Do regional airlines pay for the type rating and the ATP-CTP? Six of the 7 publish a First Officer entry that needs no type rating to apply, and train you on the type. For the ATP-CTP course, which comes before the ATP written test: Envoy wants the ATP written passed when you apply, and pays the course for its cadets at the minimums; SkyWest provides an approved course to applicants who pass its pilot interview; Endeavor can provide a company-paid course with its training partner, hotel and transport included, to well-qualified candidates; Horizon’s First Officer training includes an in-house course, with all expenses covered. Ask what you owe if you leave soon after training.
Can I become a Captain at a regional with a restricted ATP? Not until you have the full ATP: a Part 121 Captain needs an ATP without the restriction of 14 CFR 61.167, a type rating and 1,000 hours as second in command in Part 121 operations, or certain command time under Parts 91 and 135 (14 CFR 121.436(a)), and the unrestricted ATP needs 1,500 hours and an age of 23. Each airline adds its own upgrade minimums.
