What each plan contains
Ground School is the theory library — EASA PPL, IR, CPL and ATPL, and the four FAA writtens. PRO adds the A320, B737 and interview banks on top. The Interview Pass contains exactly what PRO contains, for 90 days.

Questions about plans and billing
What is free on v1prep?
The free plan costs €0, forever: 50 preview banks, 5 questions per session, full FCOM/EASA explanations, and progress tracking and dashboard. Mock Interview mode is not part of it. Every article on v1prep is free to read, the Library included, and the METAR and TAF decoder, the EASA and FAA Part 117 FDP calculators, the Pilot Fatigue Calculator, the Crosswind Calculator and the Density Altitude Calculator can each be used 3 times without an account and then with a free v1prep account.
Is there a free trial?
Yes. An account that has never had PRO can try it free for 7 days, once: every question bank, course and tool. Choose Start the free trial on the Pricing page. No card is needed; the trial ends on its own and the account goes back to the free plan, with its progress kept. One trial per person.
Ground School, PRO or the Interview Pass: which one do I need?
Ground School (€10 a month or €99 a year) is theory only: every EASA PPL, IR, CPL and ATPL subject and the four FAA written tests. PRO (€19 a month or €149 a year) adds the type-rating banks (A320, A220, B737, B787, ATR 72, E-Jet), the airline interview banks and Mock Interview, Difference Training and the Flight Briefing. The Interview Pass (€129, once) is everything in PRO for 90 days with no renewal, for the run up to an assessment. Lifetime (€299, once) is PRO for good. Prices are shown without VAT, which is added at checkout where it applies.
How does billing work?
Checkout is on Gumroad, which acts as Merchant of Record. Prices on v1prep are shown without VAT: where VAT or sales tax applies, Gumroad adds it at checkout and shows it before you pay. PRO Monthly (€19) and Ground School (€10) renew every month, and PRO Annual (€149) and Ground School Annual (€99) every year, until you cancel. The Interview Pass (€129, 90 days) and Lifetime (€299) are one payment each and do not renew. Pay with the e-mail address of your v1prep account (or create a free account with the address you pay with). Moving from one subscription to another, for example from Ground School to PRO, cancel the old one in your Gumroad library so it is not charged again.
How do I cancel my subscription?
You can cancel at any time. In v1prep, open your account (your initials at the top right) and press Manage or cancel billing: it opens your Gumroad library, where the subscription is canceled. The Manage membership link in your Gumroad receipt e-mail leads to the same place. After cancellation, access continues until the end of your current billing period.
Can I get a refund?
Yes. The Refund policy gives these terms:
- Monthly subscription: full refund within 14 days of first purchase if you are not satisfied.
- Yearly subscription: full refund within 14 days of first purchase OR a pro-rata refund on renewal if canceled within 7 days of renewal charge.
- Ground School (monthly or yearly): full refund within 14 days of first purchase if you are not satisfied.
- Interview Pass (90 days): full refund within 14 days of purchase if you are not satisfied.
- Lifetime purchase: full refund within 14 days if less than 10% of premium content has been accessed (measured by unique questions opened).
- ATO / B2B licenses: refund terms are set in the license contract; the 14-day consumer rule does not apply to business customers.
Do you offer licenses for flight schools?
Yes. License v1prep for your cadets: they join with your school code, and your instructors follow their progress by subject. School Starter is €199 a month with 15 student seats, ATO Pro €499 a month with 50 student seats, and Enterprise (unlimited seats, custom pricing). Every cadet gets the full PRO content, and the progress reports can be downloaded (CSV). Ask for a quote through the Contact page (choose “An ATO”).
Are there group discounts?
Yes, for groups. Groups of 4 or more pilots buying together get 20% off PRO (monthly or annual), the Interview Pass and Ground School (monthly or annual): one member sends the contact form on the Contact page with the name and e-mail address of each member, and we check the request and send the code by e-mail within 2 days. One code per group, used once by each member. Codes do not combine and do not apply to Lifetime, the add-ons, the study guides or school licenses. There is no student discount. Annual plans also cost less: PRO Annual is 35% less than 12 months of PRO Monthly, and Ground School annual is €21 (17.5%) less than 12 months of Ground School monthly.
